Mule Deer are found throughout the desert and forest environments at Grand Canyon. They are Herbivores and browse on shrubs and graze on grasses. They get their name because of their large, mule-like ears. Mule deer have excellent sensitivity to moving objects and exceptional hearing which helps them escape predators.
