Summer and Winter Triangle with Astronomer in Residence David Koerner

The Summer and Winter Triangles are asterisms that include bright stars like Vega, Betelgeuse, and Sirius. A brief exposition of the six stars will lay groundwork for a performance of piano pieces based on the unique properties of each. Rapid spinning, an orbiting disk of colliding asteroids, a white dwarf companion,  and an exploding supernova are among the stellar phenomena depicted musically.
