Stand Together For Our National Parks

These are extraordinary times. Our beloved national parks—including Grand Canyon—are facing immense challenges.

With shifting priorities and restricted resources, park staff are under more pressure than ever before as they carry out critical projects and necessary care for the park. This is a crucial moment for us all to stand together as federal policy updates raise concerns across the country about the future of our cherished public lands.

In my first weeks as CEO at Grand Canyon Conservancy, I’ve seen how committed the GCC community is in supporting Grand Canyon National Park and its mission to not only protect the park but share its wonders with millions of visitors every year. I’m inspired by the resilience and fortitude of the park staff who have chosen their profession from a place of passion and care for the canyon—its past, present and future.

I know how much you cherish Grand Canyon. This is a place like no other, where we come to find ourselves, to feel our connection to the vast passage of time as we immerse ourselves in its unparalleled natural beauty carved through the ages. It is a place that offers transcendence yet asks little more of us than care and protection. This is the moment we can respond.

Here’s how you can join us to make a difference:

Raise Your Voice – Contact your elected officials and let them know you stand with our parks.
Give Your Time – Volunteer at your nearest National Park and contribute to its preservation.
Visit the Park Responsibly – Practice Leave No Trace principles and HIKE SMART.
Support Grand Canyon – Donate to protect our national treasure in this critical moment.

The road ahead may be uncertain, but together, we can ensure Grand Canyon and all national parks remain protected today and for future generations. Every action counts—your commitment today makes a real impact.

Thank you for standing with Grand Canyon National Park.

With gratitude,

Elizabeth Silkes
Chief Executive Officer
