16th Annual Celebration of Art at Grand Canyon National Park

Celebration of Art at Grand Canyon continues its tradition of captivating visitors and supporting artists inspired by the canyon while raising funds for an art venue at the South Rim.

Grand Canyon, Ariz.Grand Canyon Conservancy Grand Canyon, Ariz. — Grand Canyon Conservancy is thrilled to announce the 16th Annual Grand Canyon Celebration of Art at Grand Canyon National Park, taking place from September 7th to January 20th, 2025. Celebration of Art at Grand Canyon continues its tradition of captivating visitors and supporting artists inspired by the canyon while raising funds for an art venue at the South Rim.  

From September 7th to 14th, artists will paint “en plein air” (outside on location) along the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, capturing its breathtaking beauty firsthand. On Saturday, September 14th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., a Collectors' Reception (ticketed event) will take place at Kolb Studio and is an opportunity to meet the artists and acquire unique pieces. 

The Exhibit and Sale will open to the public on Sunday, September 15th, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Kolb Studio, showcasing the works of participating artists. Additionally, the Exhibit and Sale will continue at Kolb Studio and online through January 20th, 2025, providing art enthusiasts with an extended opportunity to purchase pieces inspired by Grand Canyon

An online gallery will feature all artwork available for purchase, providing art enthusiasts worldwide with access to this unique collection. The online sales gallery will go live the week of September 16 on our official store

Online Auction

Paintings featured are original pieces framed and specifically selected by each artist. 

Plein Air at Grand Canyon 
September 7 to 14, 2024
Most artists prefer to paint in the morning and evening when the canyon is most vibrant. 
Various locations along the South Rim, Grand Canyon National Park 

Artist Paint Out
September 13 3:00 – 6:00 p.m
Participating artists will take part in a “Paint Out” along the South Rim from Verkamp’s Visitor Center to Thunderbird Lodge. Completed paintings will be available for purchase on-site.

Sunrise Painting
September 14 6:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Celebration of Art artists will participate in a “Sunrise Painting” between Mather Point and Trail View Overlook.

Collectors’ Reception 
September 14 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. (ticketed event) at Kolb Studio 
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase unique works of art, mingle with the artists, and enjoy light appetizers and drinks.
