With close to five
million visitors annually, Grand Canyon National
Park draws individuals with a wide range of recreational
and educational needs. Popular activities include
hiking, backpacking, whitewater rafting, mule
rides, and helicopter tours. While planning your
desired activities you should take into consideration
a number of factors including your level of fitness,
familiarity with the outdoors, length of visit,
budget, and whether you’re coming to learn,
relax, recreate, find solitude, make new friends,
or a combination thereof.
GCFI has crafted a wide variety
of educational programs to address a number of
these needs. You’ll find them arranged into three main groups- Single-Day Classes, Rim-Based Classes, and Backcountry Classes. For more comprehensive
trip-planning information visit the Grand
Canyon National Park Web site. |
